Laura Tagawa

Violinist Laura Tagawa is active as both a performer and a teacher. She is a member of the Arizona Opera Orchestra and previously with orchestras in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and Louisiana.

As a chamber musician she has performed internationally with her husband Toru in their group, Duo Tutti, in Japan and Canada. Laura maintains her own private teaching studio in Tucson, Arizona where she is also the Director of the Strings Program at Khalsa Montessori School. She received a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Music in Performance from Florida State University.

She is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program at the University of Arizona. When not busy performing and teaching, Laura enjoys practicing kyudo (Japanese archery).
