Committees

In order to meet our mission, AZOOMA has formed three committees:

to support the opera,
to negotiate contract agreements
and to mediate our musicians’ needs.

Orchestra Committee (2010-2011)

The Orchestra Committee is elected by the Arizona Opera Orchestra and serves as the representative voice of the orchestra in dealings and communications with the AFM and Arizona Opera management (excluding contract negotiations). Negotiating Committee (2009-2010)

The Negotiating Committee is elected by the Arizona Opera Orchestra and is the official bargaining unit representing the orchestra (along with representatives from the AFM) in contract negotiations with Arizona Opera management. Outreach and Education Committee

The Outreach and Education Committee is appointed by the Orchestra Committee to educate the public and broaden public knowledge about the Arizona Opera Orchestra and its role in the community.
